automatic time tracking without manual logging

Plausible solo build, but unvalidated by a single Reddit musing and littered with abandoned quantified-self apps — treat as a cheap experiment, not a business.

✓ Core value (motion-sensor + wifi geofencing + one-tap correction) is buildable by a solo dev with standard iOS/Android APIs, no frontier models or heavy compute✓ Pain point is recurring and universal — people genuinely don't know where their day goes✓ No incumbent owns 'automatic, zero-input day timeline'; existing trackers (RescueTime, Toggl) are manual or desktop-only

⚠ Zero validation signal — one Reddit post, no upvotes/comments data, no HN or download evidence of demand⚠ Battery drain and background-location privacy constraints on iOS/Android make 'always-on passive sensing' technically fragile and a hard sell to app stores⚠ Quantified-self/time-tracking is a graveyard of abandoned apps; retention is notoriously poor once novelty fades
