meeting strangers in physical spaces

A textbook cold-start social app with no retention loop, no monetization path, and a graveyard of identical predecessors — skip it.

✓ Zero technical moat means a solo dev could ship an MVP in a weekend with standard mobile + realtime backend stack✓ Clear, narrow problem statement ('meeting strangers in physical spaces') that is easy to pitch and prototype✓ Autocomplete signal of 9 suggests some latent search interest in the anonymous local chat concept

⚠ Classic two-sided cold-start: value only exists when many users are simultaneously checked into the same venue, which no solo dev can bootstrap⚠ No retention mechanism by design ('nothing accumulates') — users have no reason to return, killing LTV and any subscription model⚠ Anonymous proximity chat is a well-known graveyard (Yik Yak, Secret, Bumble BFF local modes) with heavy moderation, safety, and abuse liabilities
